Description
The Alençon Harness is named after a type of needle lace. Alençon lace is sometimes called “Queen of Lace,” and was used primarily during the 16th century. Its use declined at the end of the 19th century due to machine-made lace being cheaper and faster to produce; handmade lace required extensive knowledge, expertise, and time.
The Alençon harness follows a traditional bulldog-style harness shape, but in a lace-like metal material.
