Description
The Merovingian Lamé is named after a character from The Matrix, an exiled program with an affinity for data trafficking, power, and rarities often desired by the protagonists. Historically, the Merovingians were the ruling dynasty of the Franks from the 5th through 8th centuries, whose power was from a distant period in history with claims of lineage stemming from Jesus.
The Merovingian lamé is an intricate and futuristic garment with strong, high shoulders and a long tail. This piece makes a statement whether on top of streetwear or under a tux jacket.
Free Maison’s lamés take inspiration from fencing lamés, jackets coated in an interwoven metal to enable electric conductivity for point scoring.
